Course topics include:

•  Rules for safe gun handling * Rifle parts and operation
•  Ammunition knowledge and selection Shooting fundamentals
•  Marksmanship, and shooting range safety
•  Shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions
•  Continued opporturnities for skill development.

Students will receive Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook and NRA Marksmanship Qualification Booklet. Each student will take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate.

What to bring: Rifle and ammo, eye and ear protection. (If you do not have these you can rent them), a ball cap, lunch, snacks and drink. Please wear closed toed shoes and high neck shirt. Gretchen Laiuppa
