 PINT & PISTOL RANGE RULES

Everyone must follow the Basic Rules of Firearm Safety at all times.

 

  • Treat ALL FIREARMS as if they ARE LOADED.
  • Never point a gun at anything you are not willing to destroy.
  • Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you are ready to shoot.
  • Be sure of your target, and what is beyond.
  • All Firearms must only be handled inside assigned stalls.
  • Muzzles must remain down range.
  • Eye and ear protection required at all times. Pint & Pistol recommends foam ear plugs in addition to over the ear protection.
  • No passing firearms between stalls.
  • No open toed shoes or tank tops permitted on the range.
  • No drawing from holsters outside the presence of an instructor and only during designated times and events
  • All firearms must have sights
  • All aimed shots must be 8 inches below target carrier.
  • Expectant mothers are not permitted on the range at any time.
  • Patrons must obey range staff at all times
  • Range staff have the right to inspect all firearms, ammunition and equipment.
  • No tobacco use is permitted on the range including vape and e-cig
  • Food and drinks are not permitted on the range at any time
  • No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be permitted on the range including prescription drugs.
  • Shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times. No one under the age of 7 is permitted on the range. Minors are not permitted to have their own lane. Parent or guardian must stay within an arms-length of a minor at all times while on the range.
    • 7-12 Rimfire Rifles
    • 13-17 Rimfire Rifle + Centerfire Firearms
  • Guests must report any and all emergencies immediately
  • Only Factory new ammunition allowed on the range.
  • Shotguns are allowed with slug or buckshot only. 
  • Shotguns must have a stock.
  • All brass once fired is considered lost brass.
  • All handling including casing and uncasing of firearms must be done inside your assigned lane ONLY
  • All firearms must be cleared, breech open and securely encased before removing them from the firing line.
  • In the event of a jam or malfunction firearm must remain pointed down range, on the bench and an RSO must be immediately contacted.
  • Always check with the Range Safety Officer if you are unsure if your firearm or ammunition is permitted .The RSO reserves the right to prohibit any incomplete firearms that are deemed unsafe. Ammunition that is deemed improper for range use will be held at the counter and retuned when guests leave the facility.
  • Cross lane firing is strictly prohibited.
  • Passing forward of the firing line is strictly prohibited except during designated activities.
  • Only one loaded firearm is permitted at the firing line at a time.
  • All shooters must maintain control of their firearm at all times.
  • Black powder firearms are Not Permitted at any time.
  • All rented firearms must use Pint and Pistol supplied ammunition.
  • Firearms brought onto the property must be unloaded and in a secure case, range bag or holster prior to entering the facility and remain there until the customer is on the firing line.
  • It is the shooters responsibility to understand how to operate the firearm safely and ensure that it is in proper working order as well as understanding all safety features prior to shooting.
  • Upon the “CEASE FIRE” command from the range safety officer all shooters must stop shooting immediately, put down the firearm facing toward the target and step back from the firing lane. Shooters may return to the firing lane only after the “ALL CLEAR” signal has been given.
  • Only authorized targets may be used and are subject to Range Master approval. No reactive targets are permitted on the range at any time. The Range Master reserves the right to prohibit any target that is deemed offensive, inappropriate or unsafe in the sole opinion.
  • Damage to the ceiling and lights will result in a $300 fee and potential discharge from the range.
  • All persons attending the facility hereby authorize consent to be photographed and release any claims against the publication of said photograph in any magazine, brochure, web presence, ad, or any other purpose as determined by Pint and Pistol.
  • Rifles up to .50 BMG are permitted on the 35-yard lane.
  • Pint and Pistol Reserves the right to eject or refuse service to anyone who inappropriately handles a firearm or would potentially endanger the safety of our staff or patrons.
  • Please ask the Range Master or Range Safety Officer for clarification if you have any questions on the Range Rules and Regulations.

 

 The following ammo types are prohibited unless specifically approved by management

 

  • -Bi-Metal
  • -Steel Case
  • -Steel Insert
  • -Tracer
  • -Armor piercing
  • -Aluminum
  • -Birdshot

 

 

NO OUTSIDE INSTRUCTORS/TRAINERS ARE PERMITTED TO USE THE RANGE TO TRAIN OR CERTIFY AT PINT & PISTOL WITHOUT THE MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS SET BY PINT & PISTOL WITHOUT THE MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS PLEASE SEE MANAGEMENT.
